Christian Outdoorsman... our mission
Christian Outdoorsman's core mission is to facilitate the building of the largest international Christian outdoor community in the world today... Inspiring and equipping this new community to use the outdoors for personal development, discipleship, fellowship, and outreach.
We believe strongly that the Internet is going to be the primary media of the future. From our inception in 2003 we have put our focus on the utilization of this powerful media.
We plan to keep our focus in this area, but will be expanding our reach into other arenas.
The network will be built utilizing the following resources:
Christian Outdoorsman website Utilizing the power of the Internet... we provide the following vehicles for building the community and its interaction.
Registered Christian Outdoorsmen Database We are assembling a data base of registered Christian Outdoorsmen (CO's), so that this community may be mobilized for the Lord's service.
CO Search Engine Allows registered CO's to locate one another for fellowship and sharing of information by state or zip code. Also allows registered CO's to locate outdoor ministries in their area.
Discussion Forums To discuss areas of interest to the Christian Outdoor enthusiast... from prayer requests and outdoor ministry ideas as well as sharing stories and tips.
Free ChristianOutdoorsman.net Email This allows Christian Outdoorsmen a simple witnessing tool, and also promotes the website for the building of the community.
G.O.D. Postcast Great Outdoor Discovery Podcast... an Internet radio show with interviews and segments to educate and inspire Christian Outdoorsmen.
Articles We promote Christian Outdoorsmen submitting articles of interest to the community... topics include Spiritual encouragement to skills development. All content on the ChristianOutdoorsman.net site will be contributed by the community. A virtual open source CO Magazine.
Photo Gallery Where men can share photos of outdoor scenes and game photos, to memorable times with family and friends.
Event Calendar Events of interest may be posted by churches and organizations to be promoted to the community.
Speakers Network to help churches secure great speakers for their Christian outdoor outreach events.
Christian Outdoor Business Listings So you can support the Christian outdoor businesses.
CO Affiliate Program Churches, individuals and companies with websites can become an affiliate.
This will serve to provide income to church ministries and websites as well as promote our site.
Funding
The funding of our work is through the selling of products. We offer an online shopping cart with the most complete offering of products and gifts for the Christian outdoor enthusiast.
We are also offer a "Christian Outdoorsman Resource Center" display concept for Christian bookstores and outdoor retailers to sell our branded products.
This will also serve to advertise the website and promote the CO network.
